Ayatollah Mohammad Asif Mohseni, prominent Afghan proximity figure admitted academic delegation from Iran led by Hujjat-ul-Islam Mohammad Hussein Mokhtari, president of the University of Islamic Denominations (UID) calling the visiting religious figure to expand activities of the major religious university in Afghanistan, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
Ayatollah Mohseni, also member of the supreme council of Iran’s World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought hailed the University of Islamic Denominations over its efficient function.
He called for expansion of academic activities by Iranian university in Afghanistan.
The meeting has reportedly been followed by other visits to Afghan universities and religious institutes as agreements for academic cooperation were signed between Iranian delegation and Afghan universities.
Iran’s University of Islamic Denominations presided by Hujjat-ul-Islam Mohammad Hussein Mokhtari is a leading religious institute admitting both Iranian and international students from across the globe and is opening its overseas branches in near future.
