Leading a delegation of Iranian thinkers and religious figures to summit in Sharif Hidayatullah State Islamic University Jakarta on necessities of new Islamic civilization, Hujjat-ul-Islam Mohammad Hussein Mokhtari, head of the University of Religions and Islamic Denominations hailed morality and sympathy of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) for the public as main pillars for formation of Islamic civilization, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
” The founder of Islamic civilization was Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and as his invitation was in line with human nature” said the cleric and added, ”Since the humane and Islamic teachings of prophet were welcomed by all, they made the basis for what later became Islamic civilization”
Iranian university professor noted that in the modern Islamic civilization promotion of modern man depends upon Islamic teachings as Islam maintains temporal and spiritual aspects of human being, a feature distinguished from western civilization which is limited to materialistic view on man.
Hujjat-ul-Islam Mokhtari said,” Islamic unity, mutual respect for religious sanctities and an accurate interpretation of religious texts are the most important necessities of new Islamic civilization.”
He noted,” To provide an accurate interpretation of religious texts is a mission for academicians.”
Akhoond Abdul Baset Nourizad, Friday prayer leader of the Sunni community in Iran’s Gonbad-e Kavus underlined the role of Iranian Sunni Muslims in cooperation with their Shia brothers for formation of new Islamic civilization and counted unity as the most important pillar for that.
